Finding and using evidence and data

We are currently working on developing learning resources for colleagues and local councillors that you can use in your own time to improve your understanding of evidence-based decision-making, finding and applying different forms of public health evidence and intelligence, undertaking health needs assessment, and basic evaluation principles. This will include videos and free e-learning courses.

We will update this page with more information and add these new products to our resources library, as they become available.

For now, why not take a look at our ‘Evidence Heroes and Villains’ video series, which gives some quick pointers on the dos and don’ts of good evidence-based planning and decision-making?

If you have a group of local colleagues or councillors with a particular upskilling or development need around evidence and intelligence, we may be able to deliver a bespoke workshop or training session, depending on your requirements, timescale and our capacity. Get in touch to find out more.
